Here at MustardSeed, we understand the pain of joblessness, spiraling debts, rent arrears, skipping meals, and the emotional strain that an empty wallet begets. So we’re here to help you get a job and keep a job.
Here’s how we do it
We equip you with skills that will make your job quest successful. We help you develop robust CVs and Cover letters, find internships, and develop a positive attitude for the job setting. We call this THE HABIT OF WORK.
Through our mentorship program, we delve deeply into workplace ethics and personal development as essentials for growth at work.
And once a month, we meet to share our successes and challenges as a family.
Who we are
We are a group of motivated folks who stray from our comfort zones to avail solutions to the unemployment crisis.
We work on a needs basis — with people with ambitions, clear goals, but with genuine obstacles to secure employment.
Though MustardSeed began for graduates of St Aloysius Gonzaga High School in Nairobi, Kenya, MustardSeed is open to any individual of any colour, sex, race, and religion.
Where it all began
MustardSeed was founded by Chris O’Hare in June 2014, after a trip to Kenya where he met with several St. AL’s graduates who were struggling to get jobs despite their good education and positive attitude.
Since then the program has grown exponentially helping hundreds of youths take charge of their lives.
We are now working with St. Aloysius students who are yet to graduate. Training them to shape their CVs so that when they step out of school they have a clear path to tread.
Support the Program
We are where we are today because of the sacrifices of our esteemed benefactors. Whatever you contribute goes a long way in sustaining the program.
With a donation of $10 a month, you can pay for a MustardSeed intern bus fare and lunch. For a $100 a month, you sponsor a student for a whole year. All of us work unpaid, so your donation makes the most impact in the lives of the youth we serve.
